I hunt only for antlers and the thrill of killing good bucks. I'll admit it. Luckily I get enough meat off of the deer I kill to satisfy my taste for deer.

Nothing wrong with that approach PS. Everybody has a different motivation for deer hunting and as long as its legal to each his own. I know guys who are ecstatic about a basket rack 6 and guys who look at a 160 as a dink.

I ended up taking a doe opening day of the firearm season just prior to end of legal shooting hours and a sammich buck the following morning.
