Very well.

Actually the numbers on that bow are pretty impressive. A friend of mine bought one last month. I haven`t got to shoot with him yet. I`m sure it`s a killing machine if SAMCRO chose it as his WMD.

But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.

It's a different direction than I'm used to. It still feels like I'm shooting my kids bow. I went with 60# limbs this time, too. So between the smooth draw and the low-poundage limbs, it is pretty nice. My first set of binary cams, and I like them. Early binary cams, I wasn't a fan of. They seem to have come a long way - no longer feel that strange stacking at the beginning of the cycle.

It'll shoot.

I just hope your limbs hold together. I have heard of quite a few of them blowing limbs lately. Not bashing or anything, just an observation. I also know Samcro takes care of his equipment, so I'd say he will likely be safe.

SAMCRO tries to avoid reading ArchertyTalk. Statistics gained there are worth what they cost you.

This is not information from Archerytalk. I have not been in there in years. This is info directly from three different friends that have had issues with limbs on the Destroyer and Experience.

I didn`t realize the binary cams had changed. I wasn`t a fan of the older ones either. That`s why I haven`t been interested in Bowtech since the Experience came out. Two of my buddies had Destroyer limb issues. It`s amazing what bows will do these days with 60 lb limbs.

I have heard of limb issues with Bowtech, but I did a little research and determined their failure rate was no different than Hoyt or PSE. I also conferred with Cracker's, who indicated they weren't having systemic issues.

I believe it's possible there's some truth to the rumors and, if so, is likely limited to certain production runs, suppliers, etc.

So far, so good with this one. I really enjoy shooting it.

Are they "rumors" when you have seen pictures directly from the people having the issues? Don't get me wrong, I am sure ALL companies have bad runs or parts and I hope nothing happens with yours or anybody else's for that matter. I am just saying people sending me pics of snapped limbs on their bows IS NOT a "rumor!"

Oh, simple-minded little man. The "rumors" are those that revolve around all Bowtech bows being more susceptible to limb failure, particularly compared to any other line of bows. That, in fact, is roughly how you might define a rumor.

No one is doubting that your boyfriends haven't had blowing issues, or rather, limb blowing up issues. It's simply that a thinking mind cannot, and does not, accept photographs of single instances as evidence. Particularly when all of the facts surrounding these isolated incidents cannot be known.

Instead, to make an educated decision, you must gather facts, and extrapolate what you can from them. Facts, as opposed to rumor, show that this particular company doesn't suffer from an overwhelming, or even above-average, number of limb failures given current runs.

If one simply needs a few pictures to believe in a whole-scale problem, I'll gladly initiate my strong Google-fu, and share multiple limb-failure photographs of any of the current archery products.

So CRO, would my 2010 GT500 have a newish binary? Or, is that old school?

All that I know is that I love that bow. It is a dream to shoot.

PS - I would say your GT falls into the "new" category, and those bows are known for being smooth and fast. In fact, I'd say that it was one of the better interpretations of the binary, depending on which cam you have.

I believe the cam is called the REV cam. That bow looks as new as the day that I bought it. Shoots that way as well.

The shooter, that is a different story.
