Re: Flask
I've been looking for a good quality flask worthy of holding brandy made from my grandpa's recipe. Hoping to make the thing at Diggs and will bring some samples.

ODF, how long have you let one set w/out tapping it ? Got one of peaches going on 6 months and a blackberry at 7 months.

BornBad - I've never let one set for more than 6 or 7 months....just because. I usually go ahead and drain the fruit out and then just leave it bottled. Don't think you'll hurt anything to leave it longer, because the fruit is already "pickled". I remember my grandparents having rows of jars along the basement walls. I'm sure some were 12 months or older. Found a ziploc of peaches while cleaning out the freezer...looks like I'll have a batch of peach for this fall!
