Fished a benefit tournament out of Theodosia Saturday. Well, at about 11 or so we blew the engine of my buddy's boat. We called a friend who was going to come in and tow us back to Theodosia boat dock. At the time we only had about 2 keepers, well we trolled about a half mile waiting for the guy to show up and tow us in and we went by a bluff bank I had caught one earlier and caught another keeper. The guy came and towed us for about 5 miles until we were pretty close to the take off, where we still had about 2 hours to fish. We told him to just cut us loose and we would fish our way back to the weigh in. We proceeded to catch 5 more keepers and finally weighed in almost 13 lbs of fish and finished in 5th place. I have always said I would rather be lucky than good. I think that proves it. Oh by the way, the guy who towed us in.........Had 1 keeper for the day.
