Wish us Luck

Post by Keith@AimLow » July 27th, 2005, 11:51 am

The Aim Low Team will be leaving Sat. for Texas and then on to South Carolina for some serious bowfishing. We are hoping that this trip will be a foundation for Aim'n Low Vol. II. Our 3 goals are to once again fill the boat with giant buffalo, take a gator gar or two, and then head to S.C. for my first experience shooting rays and sharks. It will be a tall order to fill and we may be asking too much to pull it all off, but with a bit of luck we should have lots of entertainment to share. Oh yeah..if I can also shoot a big enough longnose to go on my wall, I will be thrilled.

Instead of going to South Carolina, maybe you could head for the north Florida beaches. The big sharks are just off the shore, waiting for surfers. If you watch for the helicopters, they will spot the schools of sharks for you.
Big rays are a hoot.....I shot a few of the smaller ones in Tampa Bay years ago, but never any of the really big ones.
That must be like sticking a loaded freight train as it goes by.....good luck, good shooting (with the bow and with the camcorder).

The one sandshark that I caught actually bit the guy that owned the rod and reel. More or less, I was watching him fish. He got a bite and told me to hook it up and land the fish. So, I guess we both caught it. Anyway, I thought it was pretty dang cool. I'll be interested to see what you guys hang in to.
