Taney this past weekend

Post by fish » September 26th, 2011, 9:08 pm

The wiff an I went down there and caught a bunch of slicks. The end.

Not really the end. Did catch a bunch of hungry trout and found Ol Roscoe Dog and his fishin buddy down there. Fed them B&G's and beer for breakfast Saturday morning and sat an BS'd for a bit. Hadn't seen them in a while and was good to see some old OM friends.

Beautiful fishin weather and fun was had by all except for the fish now residing in our freezer :rotfl:

Had a good time fishing even if it was a bit slow. It was good to sit down with Fish and Susan and talk a little and the breakfast was good. Good seeing you two.

A little unusual for you and the wiff to not slay em there. Any trip to taney and/or Lilley's is a good trip. You should have seen the skunk I had on during the healing waters event and I was guiding.

RB - After all the years fishing Taney I like to think we got it figgered out. Caught just under a 100 troots over 3 days fishin hours according to our counter. Didn't keep anything under 13" (17.25" biggest) except for getaway day Sunday. Kept some 11" or so bakers then. Going back down in 3 weeks

Ain't that the truth JD. I guess that's why they call it fishing. Still had a great time and spent the weekend with some great wounded warriors.

Gonna go back down 10/14-17 for probably the last time this year. Then I'll put the boat to bed for the season and get the guns out. May watch for the Wounded Warrior Tourney next year and try to make it down for that
