Pinkel DWI Arrest

I have been listening to all of the local sports talk about Pinkel's DWI arrest last night. It's amazing how quickly people are blowing up about the need to fire him- of course some of those people are either KU fans or the teetotalers.

One person (a LEO) mentioned that Assistant Coach Walker had been previousl arrested and tried for DWI in Columbia Municipal Court and was acquitted because he wasn't actively driving (was sitting parked behind the wheel passed out).

It will be pretty interesting to see if Pinkel self-implements a game suspension; I would think he would but will be interesting to see how he handles this given the state of the team with Josey out,how he has handled player's and assistant coaches DWIs in the past, and his involvement with the "Arrive Alive" campaign with MODOT.
