I anchored a 24 lb'er Monday 23rd.

List yours also, please.

Haven't been yet. I have been out of town most of the time the season has been in including weekends. I'll probably get out some this weekend. We have turkeys all over the place especially on the new farm.

Opening morning I kilt one that was about 24 lbs, 10 7/8 inch beard, 7/ 8 inch spurs.
About an hour before he dropped I had a hawk swoop down and tried to take my decoy.
I used a slate call that I made.

I have a box call Mike made and it is some first class work with a sweet sound to it. I bet the slate call is just as good or better. He does some great woodworking.

I've kilt 2. One was a gobbling jake. Holy hell was I pissed when I walked up on him. Three jakes, 2 were gobbling like adults.

Ambushed a big one this morning.

Got my second one the 27th. Spent 2 1/2 hours out on the first bird and 1 1/2 for the second. Both using the slate call I made. Pretty good year.
