My wife bought a gun for me.

Ruger tang safety, 257 Roberts, leupold 3x9. She's one hell of a woman! Image

I think I'll keep her around for a while, and see what she brings in next. Image

She's trying to get you out of the house so she can have more time with MOCraig.

What now Rafe ? You taking up MoCraig's light work ? If I never type MoCraig again it will be too soon. Reminds me of a kid that keeps getting in trouble solely for attention. Like Madonna or some chit. Don't matter what kind of publicity as long as it's publicity.

It looks to be a good'n so far. I shot a group at 100yds 1.4" with rem corelocts.

That my wife bought me this rifle, proves that this is a miraculous gun.

To prove that I am a nice guy and all, if anyone needs something shot with a 257 Roberts, just give me a call. It won't cost you anything but gas money, travel expenses, and my standard marksmans fees. I'm in such a good mood over this whole deal, I might even give a discount on the marksmans fees, maybe. 1.4" group at 100 yards, and you call yourself a marksman?! 2B will be able to do that with his new bow. Image
One day, long, long ago, there lived a woman who did not whine, nag, or bitch.
But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.

If you've tried buying factory 257 Roberts loads lately, you would understand my situation. One box of dusty Rem corelocts was all I was "lucky" enough to find.

My 300win mag with 180 hornady's will do 1" most of the time, and that is darn good for a 100% factory gun and factory loads, I don't care who you are.

I'm planning on Cabela's having a better selection otherwise ammo will have to be mail ordered.

Tell you what 170, I'll shoot at 100yds with my Roberts against anyone and their bow. If you want to make it interesting we can stretch it to 200yds.

I didn't think the People's State of Illinois allowed folks to even talk about guns over there. Do you have a slug gun that you would like to enter into a shooting match with, or are you just talking out of your stinkhole? Image

Just talking. I wouldn`t know a 257 Roberts from a 450 Nitro Express.

I might be interested though if you are shooting open sights. Image

Power wise it is between a 243 and a 25-06.

No it wasn't my b-day. Apparently I'm just one heck of a guy! Image

Also it was a great deal, $399 scope included. I told her it was a great deal, and well...you know women and sales. Image
